FAQs

General rule of thumb. Enjoy your new statement piece.

How do I clean?

HANDWASH ONLY with mild soap.

  • Please do not submerge in water.

  • Please do not put an extremely hot pan directly from the stove/microwave on to the epoxy resin.

  • Please do not place in a dishwasher or microwave.

  • Please do not place berries directly on the wood. The juices will stain the board. If becomes stained, treat it like a scratch.

Oh no, I scratched my new favorite functional artwork!

Like most cutting boards, it will scratch if you chose to use it has a “charcuterie/cutting board”. Its is up to you or you can be like us….cut on a cheap plastic cutting board and place it on the your new jaw dropping original for display.

To repair the scratch, I would start at 220 grit sandpaper and see if the scratch will be erased. If not, then go a little more intense like 150 or 180 grit. Then to get that super soft feel, finish with high grits like 400, 600 and/or 800. If all else fails, call me!

Friendly reminder, we use FDA approved epoxy resin for all our art work projects.

How do I sanitize?

Wipe with full strength white vinegar after use will sanitize your cutting board.

How do I deodorize?

Sprinkle baking soda or course salt onto a dry board and use half of a lemon to do the scrubbing. This will make your cutting board smell amazing.

How do I condition?

Use a food safe mineral oil or beeswax or blend to condition the board. Doing this once a month will increase the longevity of the wood.
